YOUNG, Kenneth D. Sr., - of Montrose, age 62, died Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Ascension Genesys Hospital of Grand Blanc. Funeral services will be held at 12PM Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 1PM until 8PM and Sunday from 11AM until the time of service at 12PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
Kenneth was born March 30, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan. His parents, Harley and Virginia (George) Young Sr., preceded him in death. Kenneth married Alma S. Hall on June 24, 1995. She preceded him in death on August 11, 2012. Mr. Young retired from General Motors – Bay City Powertrain in 2018 with 42 years of service and was a proud member of the UAW. He enjoyed playing golf and was involved in numerous leagues. Kenneth also enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and hunting. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother.
Surviving are: Sons: Kenneth (Melissa) Young Jr., and Joshua Young; Daughters: Brianna Young (Steven Miller), and Jessalyn Ward; 5 grandchildren: Serenity, Searra, Haileigh, Preston, and Kenny III; Sister, Christina “Sissy” Young; Brothers: Harley Young Jr., and James Markley; Mother, Jeanette Young; Former wife and friend, Patricia Gervais; Many nieces, cousins and friends. Kenneth was also preceded in death by his daughter, Amber Antes; Mother, Adelaide Arman, and his grandparents.
