SCHLEGELMILCH, Robert (Bob) Francis – of Flint, age 87, passed away June 28, 2018 at his residence. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Denis Spitzley celebrant. Cremation will follow the Mass. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Monday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Tuesday at the church. An inurnment of cremated remains will take place in St. John Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Catholic Church Youth Ministries.
Bob was born in Flint, MI on April 1, 1931, son of the late Harold and Earleen (Daughtery) Schlegelmilch. He married Betty Lois Snider on May 19, 1951. Bob was a member of St. John Catholic Church and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He enjoyed bowling, photography and was a member of a camera club. Bob worked as a Tool and Die Maker at AC for 30 years.
Bob is survived by his children, Rebecca Beck, Brenda (Ronald) Wright and Paul (Debbie) Schlegelmilch; grandchildren, Tera (James) Allen, Brent Wright, Alan (Emily) Wright, Joshua (Stephanie) Schlegelmilch, Danielle (Brent) Warner, Dawn (Chris) Robbins and Nick (Carissa) Dumas; great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Riley, Adelyn, Amelia, Nathanial, Matilda, Dominic, Vincent, Cassie, Devyn, Lilith, Hadley and Learin; special brother-in-law and friend, Gary Burger; sisters, Sue Gay, Toni Burger and Nancy Boyle; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; daughter, Roberta (Ron) Dumas; sisters, Janet Harenchar and Beverly Burger. Thank you to a special friend, Casey Waite, Deanee and the staff at Cardinal Hospice for all of their help and support.
