DAYRINGER, Glenn E. – of Clio, age 87, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Funeral services will be held 1PM Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Chaplain Don Bennett officiating. Private burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3PM until 8PM and Thursday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice.
Glenn was born January 2, 1933 in Flint, Michigan to the late Howard and Blanche (Spidle) Dayringer. He graduated from Bendle High School. Glenn married Mary M. Lawson on January 18, 1975. Mr. Dayringer retired from General Motors with 40 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking, and baking. Glenn was known as the “kitchen magician” and made the best pies. He had a green thumb when it came to tending his plants. Glenn also enjoyed traveling, and spending his winters in Bradenton, Florida.
Surviving are: Loving wife, Mary Dayringer; Children: Steve (Sharie) Dayringer, Stephanie (John) Norstrom, Michael Dayringer, Patricia (Mark) Walker, and Bill (Robin) Lawson; Many grandchildren and great grandchildren; Brother, Walt Dayringer. Glenn was also preceded in death by: Daughter, Cindy Dayringer; Son, Robert Lawson; Brothers: Leon Dayringer, and Howard Dayringer.
