LUTTON, Janet – Of Flint, age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John; parents, Joseph and Pauline Koluch.
Surviving are three children, Jeff Lutton and Marcey Stipes, Kate Snitkin and John (Alison) Lutton.
Also surviving are her loving sisters, Diane (Elie) Ghattas and Mary (Randy) Sias.
She will be forever remembered by her grandchildren, Katie (Joe) Noller, Meg Lutton, Jacob, Jonathan and Josh Snitkin, Jackson and Jordan Lutton;
many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.
She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan and earned a Master’s Degree in Education. She shared her talent and dedication in the Flint Community Schools for over three decades. She was an avid reader and lifelong learner. Her favorite summer destination was her cottage in Lake Leelanau with her family.
Many thanks for the wonderful care she received at The James Cancer Hospital and Kobacker Hospice in Columbus, Ohio.
Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 706 Beach Street, Flint, Father Thomas Firestone officiating.
The family will receive visitors wishing to extend condolences before the Mass at 10 a.m.-11 a.m.
A private interment will be held at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make contributions to a charity of their choice.
