KELBEY, Jack H. – of Montrose, age 57, died Saturday, March 21, 2015 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-8PM and on Thursday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM. Contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Michigan.
Jack was born May 24, 1957 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Jack Lewis and Shirley Ann (Shannon) Kelbey. He was a graduate of Hill McCloy High School. Jack served on the Montrose School Board for 2 terms. He was co-owner and manager of Shannon’s Diversified Inc. Jack enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Jack was known for his saying “it is what it is”.
Surviving are: Sisters: Karen (Rob) Hemker of Montrose, Jackie (Rich) Hemker of Shields, Betty (Harold) Blaine of St. Charles, Sandra (Jerry) Mose of St. Charles; Brother, Shannon Kelbey of Montrose; Nieces and nephews: Kerri Mose (Matt Newman), Dan (Carla) Mose, Jeff (Erin) Blaine, Brian (Tracy) Blaine, Mark Blaine, Eric (Kim) Blaine, Todd (Beth) Hemker, Tim (Becca) Hemker and Janel (Dave) Murdoch; Several great nieces and nephews; Many other loving family members and friends.
