Darleen Louise Osborn, age 59, returned to her heavenly home on Friday, January 26, 2018. In accordance with Darleen’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Darleen, also affectionately known as Dolly, was born September 20, 1958 to the late Haywood and Dorleen Johnson in Kinloch, Missouri. She was a graduate of Beecher High School, Class of 1976. Shortly after graduation, Dolly was employed by Pepsi for 15 years and later 13 collective years with Premier and GM Powertrain where she thrived in her position as a supervisor.
Dolly was a very creative and imaginative writer and a masterful Scrabble player. All who were blessed to know her would always rely on her unique ability to write essays, thesis, or any type of literature that required the articulate touch that only she could offer. Her knowledge was endless and the educational success of those who loved her could largely be attributed to her accomplished writing skills.
Dolly’s ultimate joy was spending time with her devoted daughter Tia, whom she lovingly referred to as “Angel” and her handsome grandson LaRon. She dedicated herself to her parents where their strong bond was strengthened by the love and dedication they had for one another until each respectively made their journey to their heavenly home.
Darleen Louise Osborn leaves to cherish her dear memory: her beloved daughter Tia (Einn); grandsons LaRon and Brandon; former husband Bobby Osborn; three sisters, Fuzzy Sanders, DeVelle Johnson, Venus (Richard) Allen; a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces, nephews and cousins; Mother-in-law Elizabeth Osborn, special and beloved sister-in-laws LaShanda & LaWanda Osborn; and brother-in-laws Andre, Kendrick, Jerry, and Larry Osborn; and special life-long friends Vanessa Paxton and Darlene Watson.
Darleen was preceded in death by her faithful parents Haywood and Dorleen Johnson, brother-in-law Samuel Sanders, brother Vance (Haywood) Johnson and brother-in-law Dwayne Osborn.
