Our beloved aunt, Carolyn Jeanine “Auntie” Gasche was called home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2024. Born on December 23, 1937, in Clio, Michigan to Ralph and Edna (Hewitt) Gasche, she was a faithful, loving, and loyal daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She was a dedicated servant of Christ and lived every day with integrity and a passion for spreading the word of Jesus.
In her professional life, Carolyn was a Comptroller for Citizens Bank, retiring after 27 years of dedicated service to her work, which included 17 years of perfect attendance, which she proudly boasted about. She loved to share her gift of singing, which involved participating in the annual Citizens Bank Christmas Choir and her church choirs. She greatly loved her family, friends, and her beloved pets. As an avid sports fan, she especially loved U of M sports. Carolyn also enjoyed outdoor adventures and traveling. Her trips led her to many places around the world including Israel, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, tubing down the AuSable River, riding on a Harley Davidson in Arizona, and helping infants and children in an orphanage in Romania. She especially enjoyed going on mission trips where she could continue her dedication to Christ and doing His work for others. Her commitment to her faith was evident in everything she did. As it is written in Proverbs, 3: 5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways, submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Auntie lived by these words and her life was a testament to her unwavering faith in God.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Auntie’s life and legacy on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at New Life Christian Fellowship, 2237 Reid Rd., Grand Blanc. A gathering of family and friends will be from 1-3 p.m., with a celebration of her life beginning at 3 p.m.
We will be forever grateful for her dedication to her family. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Mark, Lee Ann, Kurt, Krista, Marsha, Kyle, Camille, Greg, Mitchell, Kim, Kerry, Pam, Marvin, Darci, Scott, Jennifer, Billy, Eric, and Susan. Several great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many loyal friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kermit; two sisters, Marion Franzen and Janette Reddington; and great-nephew, Joey Poirier.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church in Flint or New Life Christian Fellowship in Grand Blanc.
