COUNTERMAN, Carolee “Penny” - Of Burton, age 76, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 20, 2018. She passed peacefully in the home of her niece surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service will be held 3pm Sunday, August 26, 2018 2018 at Faith Tabernacle Church, 1225 S. Center Road, Burton.
Cremation has taken place.
Donations may be made to the family to carry on Penny’s tradition of charitable works.
Visitation 2pm Sunday at church until the time of the service.
Carolee "Penny" was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 10, 1942, the daughter of Carl and Cecile (Davies) Howard. Penny was a member of the UAW from 1976 to 2004 when she retired from General Motors. She was a faithful servant of God and attended the Faith Tabernacle Church where she cherished her friendships and fellowship.
Penny is survived by her loving children, Debra Adams of Burton, Michigan and Robert (Angel) Miller of St. George, Utah;
grandchildren, Amy, T.J., Chris, November, Brad and Atara;
great-grandchildren, Austin, Kilen, Angelia and Aidyn;
brother, Martin (Colette) Swiatkowski of Evergreen Park, Illinois;
and many nieces, nephews and loved ones;
sister-in-law, Sherry Counterman-Horn and niece, Amanda Weiss.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Skippy Howard, father, Carl Howard, mother, Cecile Davies and sister, Bonnie Prazuch.
