WENGER, Keith Henry - Age 95, of Linden, died May 1, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, May 5, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will be 9:30 AM Monday, May 8, 2017 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Linden Historical Society or The American Legion. Keith was born April 8, 1922 in Powhattan, KS, the son of Henry and Audra Belle (Cashman) Wenger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in WWII. He had resided in Linden since 1960. Keith was very active in local city government, serving as village president for two consecutive terms. He was a member of Linden Presbyterian Church, Linden Kiwanis Club, The American Legion as well as a founding member of Spring Meadows Country Club and the Linden Historical Society. Surviving are: wife, Sandra; children, Joann (John) Bond and Leslie (Rohit) Burde; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren; sister, Betty (Donald) Barns; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Brown; son, Keith "Buzz" Wenger Jr. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
