MANIAL, Daniel S. – of Beaverton, age 67, died Friday, June 26, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8PM, Tuesday from 10AM until 8PM and Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Daniel was born December 18, 1947 in Saginaw to Stanley B. and Marjory E. (McDonagh) Manial. He graduated from Birch Run High School. Daniel married Pat Mader on October 23, 1971 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Mr. Manial is a US Army Vietnam Veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart. He retired from Truck and Bus in 2003 with 36 years seniority and was a member of the UAW local # 598. Daniel was also a member of the Albright Shores Eagles # 3655 and 30 year member of the American Legion Post # 22 - Phillips Elliott Hodges in Saginaw. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting. Daniel also enjoyed fishing and going to the casino. Above all, Daniel loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are: Wife, Pat Manial of Beaverton; 2 sons: Dan (Loretta) Manial of Bellevue and John (Amy) Manial of Burt; 6 grandchildren:Robert (Ashlee), Josh, Sadie, Aubrie, Kindra and Cooper; Father, Stanley Manial of Birch Run; Brothers: Mike (Karen) Manial of Charlevoix and Henry Manial of Birch Run; Sister, Pam (Tom) Lavrack of Birch Run; many other loving family members and friends.
