LAWRENCE, Jack - Of Grand Blanc, age 99, died Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Brian Willingham officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Jack was born in Pool England on July 24, 1920, the son of the late
John and Angelina (Polkinghorne) Lawrence.
Jack married Mary Jagger on April 11, 1942 and she preceded him in death after 70 years of marriage.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church for many years.
Jack had a passion for music, which included directing church choirs and singing solos.
Above all else, Jack was very involved with his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are children,
Teri (Don) Dubois of Sterling Heights, MI,
Rick (Pat) Lawrence of Goodrich, MI and
Debbie (Dick) Lietzke of Port Matilda, Pennsylvania;
10 grandchildren;
10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents and sister, Gwendolyn Pryor.
