RICHARDSON, Robert Scott - age 81, of Linden, died Saturday, April 27, 2019. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Friday, May 3, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd. Fenton with Chaplain Craig Anglin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM - 11 AM Friday at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life luncheon to follow at the Fenton Community and Cultural Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Heartland Hospice. Robert was born February 26, 1938 in Flint, the son of Charles Scott and Natalee (Barnes)Richardson. He was a graduate of Flint Central High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University. Robert married Frances Anne Schlinker on May 17, 1958 and she preceded him in death in 2015. He retired from General Motors in 1990 after 34 years of service as a Foundryman. Robert also worked as a foundryman consultant for 9 years and taught at Mott Community College for 10 years. Surviving are: three children, Patricia Anne (Eric) Karsten of Brighton, Dr. Daniel (Laurie) Richardson of Novi, and Curtiss (Diane) Richardson of Oxford; 10 grandchildren, Ashley, Beth, Jordan, Natalee, Josh, Hannah, Andrew, Amanda, Taylor and Logan; three great-grandchildren, Molly, Wes, and Ella; brother, Keith (Marty) Richardson of Flint; and special friend, Lynette Damrau.
