Mr. Jesse Dean Ballard, affectionately known as J.D., was born October 20, 1957, the son of Jimmie and James Sue Ballard in Somerville, TN. JD was a native of Flint, MI and graduated from Northern High School. He later retired from a dedicated career with General Motors. JD was a beloved leader in his community, and a mentor to many. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who crossed his path. His passion for cars began when he was just 10 years old and continued throughout his life, establishing him as a respected figure in Flint, Michigan’s automotive industry. JD’s hands were skillful, his heart full of love, and his spirit, deeply rooted in faith. JD was a man of intelligence, integrity and devotion, always putting his family and loved ones first. With his infectious joy and generous spirit, he brought light to every gathering and touched the hearts of many. Jesse leaves behind a legacy of love in his son Jesse “Jae2” Ballard II of Flint, grandchildren Charisma Randall of Detroit and Zion Whitehead, brother Joel Donnell Ballard of Texas, nephews Jason Scales of Flint, and Jimmie Ray Ballard Jr. of Colorado, nieces Larisa Alston of Lansing and Irie Marie Clemons-Ballard of Texas, uncles Thomas Perry of Detroit, O.T. Perry of Mt. Morris and Alberta of California, along with a host of cousins and many friends. He is reunited in peace with his parents Jimmie and James Sue Ballard, son Jermaine Randall, brother Jimmie Ray Ballard Sr., grandparents Rev. James and Bertha Perry, uncles R.T. and Leamon Perry, Rev. Edie L. Perry, aunts Lula Dawkins, Gertrude Turner and Ruby Dotson. JD’s memory will forever live in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. May his spirit continue to guide and inspire all those who loved him. |
