RANVILLE, Raymond Marcel - Of Flint, age 73, died Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Victoria’s House.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton.

Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Powers Catholic School or Victoria’s House Assisted Living.
Visitation 1-4pm and 6-8pm Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Scripture Service will be conducted by the Knights of Columbus at 6:30pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Wednesday at church until the time of the Mass.
Ray was born in Flint, Michigan on September 29, 1946, the son of Marcel and Ruth Ellen (Smith) Ranville. On November 23, 1974, he married Constance (Connie) Susan Kramer at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Burton. Ray served in the United States Army. He was employed with General Motors for 30 years. Ray believed in his family first. He loved his wife, his children, and his grandchildren more than anything. Ray loved to help anyone in need. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #10170. Ray volunteered at Powers Catholic High School for over 25 years, doing lots of things, but was best known for selling 50/50 tickets at sporting events. He was the “Best 50/50 Seller in the Land”.
Surviving are loving wife of 45 years, Connie;
Children, Carri and Dave Bennett, Denise and Aaron Brander, Patrick Ranville, and John Ranville;
Much loved grandchildren, Amelia Bennett and Adriana Bennett;
Father, Marcel;
Siblings, Paul (Joanne) Ranville, Theresa (Denny) Owens, Tim (Anne) Ranville, Patty O’Connor, Ginger (Royce) Bowman, Mark (Sally) Ranville, Anne (Wes) Bond, and Tom (Rose) Ranville;
And many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Ellen.
