VanKuren, Matthew Louis - Age 16, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, May 17, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Robert VanKuren officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 5-9 PM and Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Matthew L. VanKuren Memorial Fund. Matthew was born August 14, 1996 in Flint, the son of Jason and Teresa (Seelye) VanKuren. He attended Swartz Creek Academy. Matthew enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his dog, Butterball. Surviving are: his parents, Jason and Teresa VanKuren of Swartz Creek; brothers, Anthony VanKuren of Flint, Shane VanKuren of Swartz Creek, and Lee Seelye of Swartz Creek; grandparents, Mary Sharp of Linden, James Seelye and Sheryl Seaver of Bay City, and Bill and Bev VanKuren of Gaines; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
