SHILLING, Wanda - Of Burton, age 82, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011
at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Wanda was born in Breckenridge, Michigan on July 18, 1928, the daughter of George and Hazel (McGill) Coleman.
Mrs. Shilling retired from Herrlich Drugs. Surviving are children, Karen Hawtin, Jackie and husband Darrel Crisp, Brad and wife Kathy;
grandchildren, Lori, Lisa, Hope, Jackie Lynn and James; great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Emma; step-grandchildren, Jennifer, JoAnn and Janet; sisters-in-law, Betty Coleman of Davison and Betty Coleman of Flushing; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, on June 25, 2002; son, Jack, Jr; baby daughter; son-in-law, Les Hawtin; grandsons, Todd Hawtin, Paul Easter and Jeremy Easter; sisters, Helen, Betty and Noreen; brothers, Rex, Fred, Dwight, Mark, Virgil, Warren and Ivan. Many appreciated thanks to Brian’s House and McLaren Visiting Nurses and also Dr. Matthew Weiss and many thanks to Swartz Ambulance for many years of service.
