DECKER, Darlene Gladys. – age 89, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 1PM Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Bethel Assembly of God, 6029 Lapeer Rd. Burton, Michigan 48509. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Assembly of God in Burton or Life Challenge Ministries in Flint.
Darlene was born September 22, 1929 in Winona, Minnesota. She married William Decker on August 20, 1949. Bill preceded her to heaven on March 26, 2007. Darlene loved her Lord and was a prayer warrior. She was very involved for many years in her beloved church, Bethel Assembly of God. Darlene was faithful in sending cards and notes to every church member and family member for birthdays, anniversaries, and illnesses. For many years she was involved in the Michigan Ontario Trials Association, and for over 20 years was the treasurer, mailing secretary, and an observer. Darlene was also very involved with the Christian Motorcyclists Association, and was a major fund raiser with Run for the Sun.She was a very loving mother that was loved by many. Darlene will be deeply missed until reunited with everyone in heaven.
Surviving are: 3 children: Debi Decker, Mark (Teresa) Decker, and Kim (Chris) Branoff; 2 grandsons: Jeremy (Jennifer) Decker, and Tyler Decker; 3 great grandchildren: Taylor Decker, Ashlee Garcia, and Logan Mularski.
