McCANN, Irene P. – of Davison, age 83, passed away November 26, 2012 at Suncrest, Lapeer. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Leroy Cole officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Davison Missionary Church-Youth Programs.
Irene was born in Flint on July 25, 1929, daughter of the late Samuel and Matilda (Kerr) Briody. Irene Briody married William George McCann on March 26, 1949 in Russellville, MI. She was employed by AC-Spark Plug Division, retiring with 33 years of service.
Irene is survived by her children, Charles (Patricia) McCann, William McCann, Patricia (Kevin) Turovich, Richard McCann and Joann McCann; grandchildren, Todd, Sarah, Mike and Lisa McCann, Paula (Timothy) Smith, Frank and Nikki Turovich, Gary Marshall, Rhiannon (Adam) Bailey and Ashlee Williams; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; siblings, Inez (Robert) Long, Raymond (Jackie) Briody, Joyce Perro, Betty Satchfield, Jim (Margo) Briody, Paul (Sue) Briody and Delores (Tom) Legalley. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; daughter-in-law, Pam McCann; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Lee Putnam; brother-in-law, Phil Perro.
