Wright, Barbara J. of Flint, age 73 died August 21, 2019. A memorial service will be held 2pm, Friday, September 20, 2019 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI. Family will receive visitors from 1-5pm, Thursday, September 19 at the funeral home. Barbara was a ball of fire and told it like it was! She was always putting other people before herself in order help them with their problems, she loved classic country music and really enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband. Her and her husband would go dancing to live country music. Barbara was very dedicated as a Flint Journal carrier for many years, and she won several contests for her skill at cake decorating. She was an avid collector of ANYTHING frog themed; knick knacks, t-shirts, pictures, blankets, etc......a vast collection of frog themed items. She enjoyed telling people about her dog 'My Girl', was very good with crossword puzzles and watched Jeopardy regularly. Barb was joined in marriage to her husband Loren Gene Wright for over 40 years, and he preceded her in death June 30, 2011. She is survived by one daughter Lythia and husband Steve, 3 step-daughters Theresa, Shirley(Kim) and Kim(Gary), sister Patricia(Albert), and brother Butch(Sharon). A very special thank you to Red, Barbara's caregiver and dear friend of the family, and to the kind nurses and staff at Hurley Medical Center.
