BERLANGA, Paul -- Age 81, of Flint, our loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was reunited in Heaven with the Lord, on September 6, 2019. He passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 2316 W. Coldwater Rd. Flint. Visitation will be held 5- 9 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, where a Rosary service will be at 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Visitation will also be 10:00 AM Thursday until time of Mass at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Paul was born June 30, 1938 in Bryan, Texas, the son of Onofre and Aurelia Berlanga. Paul married his first wife, Virginia, November 17, 1959 in Flint, MI and was later married to Maria Guadalupe January 16, 1974 in Yuma, AZ. He worked in the shop at General Motors for 48 years. He loved playing euchre, going shopping, dancing and spending time with his family. Also, Paul was an usher at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Paul is survived by his Children, Rose (Dallas) Washburn of Mt. Morris, Patricia Berlanga of Florida, Linda Berlanga of Tennessee, Deborah (Dan) Williamson of Durand, Katherine Irish of Bridgeport, Ines (Jim) Schmidt of Millington, Violeta Berlanga of Flint, Jesus Berlanga of Flint, and Elizabeth Berlanga of Florida; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Pete Berlanga, Mona Ortega, Dora Martinez, Oralia Gonzales, Janie Cardwell; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria; siblings, Joe, Sam, Domingo, and Art Berlanga. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
