SNOW, Walter L. – of Millington, MI, age 94, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, October 24, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI, 48423. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-8 PM Sunday, October 23, 2016 and 10-11 AM Monday, October 24, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Heartland Hospice.
Walter was born in Gilbertsville, KY on August 30, 1922, son of the late George and Nora (Woody) Snow. He married Shirley L. Harris on October 23, 1948. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary the day she passed away. Walter proudly served his county in the US Army from 1942-1946. He retired from General Motors in 1984 after 37 years of service.
Mr. Snow is survived by 2 children, Daniel (Sue) Snow and Delynn (R. Scott) Gardiner; 7 grandchildren, Kris (Jeanne) Snow, Jeff (Beth) Snow, Christine (Patrick) Clarke, Jaime (Kiel) Vanderhavel, Lynsie (Ray) Tobin, Keri (Matt) Jaynes and Jason Unger; 10 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Katrina Unger; 6 siblings.
