RUSS, Wray K. – Of Flint Township, age 85, died Friday, November 24, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton,
Father Steve Anderson officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Redeemer Outreach, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospital.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday followed by a Knights of Columbus Council service at the funeral home.
Mr. Russ will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the Mass.
Wray was born in Indiana on October 20, 1932 the son of the late Harold and Alice (Cares) Russ.
On May 8, 2003 he married Nancy (Gray) Lake in Flint.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Pilot during the Korean War.
Wray was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
He enjoyed old cars.
Surviving are wife, Nancy;
children, Rick, Tom, David and Teresa;
step-children, Douglas, Michael, Mark, Debra, Rick, John and Pamela;
brother, Donovan and wife Evelyn Russ;
brother-in-law, Robert Katerjohn.

He was preceded in death by his son, Donovan; brother, Robert; sisters, Betty and Carol.
