WALTERS, Donald James. – of Clio, age 36, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 12- 8PM. Service is at 4pm officiated by Daniel Martinez. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for Donald's daughters trust fund at time of service or contact O'Guinn Family Funeral Home for donation information.
Don was born March 12, 1983 in Flint, Michigan to Donald and Anne (Lechota) Walters, Jr. He graduated from Clio High School. He was a baptized catholic and attended Salvation Army services. Don was employed by Great Lakes recovery mission as a peer specialist and housing manager, he was also a crew leader for a landscaping and lawncare service. Don was very involved with the recovery mission program where he ran the sober housing program and was preparing to be a counselor. He loved playing the guitar and was very musically talented. Don had a great personality, was very personable and charismatic. He excelled at everything he put his mind to, and worked in many trades. He enjoyed working out and had a great bond with his workout friends(Thomas Ray, Aaron Ayotte, Josh Katchka, Joel Henry, and Micheal Goodroe) they became close like brothers, always keeping them focused in the right direction and they the same for him. Above all, his daughter, Chloe was his world. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
