WENZEL, Michael Paul - Of Flushing, age 70, died Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Majestic Care of Flushing.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Thursday, May 30, 2024 at St. Roberts Bellarmine Church, 310 N. Cherry Street, Flushing,
Father Jonathan Perrotta officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to Genesee County Free Medical Clinic or Carriage Town Ministries.
Visitation 2-8pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Thursday until the time of the Mass.
Michael was born in Flint, Michigan on March 13, 1954, the son of the late Frederick and Doris (Rombach) Wenzel. Michael worked for the City of Flint Road Commission and the Waste Water Treatment Plant. He was a member of the Saturday Morning Bible Study at St. Robert. Michael was forever devoted to his faith and being a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Michael loved Lake Superior, big water and walks on the pier at Port Austin.
Surviving are daughters, Jessica Emmons and Michelle (Daniel) Shickles;
Grandchildren, Emma, Attison and Clara Shickles;
Brother, Matthew (Jacalyn) Wenzel;
Sisters, Susan Wenzel (Barnett Alpert) and Catherine Wenzel;
Brothers, Thomas (Etta) Wenzel and Dennis (Jill Baker) Wenzel;
And many nieces and nephews.
