HARENCHAR, James “Jim” – of Clio, age 78, died Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Maple Woods Manor. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
Jim was born December 2, 1945, in Flint, to the late Andrew and Mary (Andrykovich) Harenchar. He received his high school diploma from Sacred Heart Catholic School in Flint with the class of 1964 and honorably served in the United States Navy. Until his retirement from Delphi in 1995, Jim worked at General Motors for 30 years. He was an active member and former organist at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and most recently attended Christ the King Catholic Church in Flint. Jim was a kind, friendly soul who enjoyed tinkering with anything electrical. Whether it was a computer, gaming stations, or simply updating home wiring – Jim was the go-to guy to call and was always there when you needed him. He will be dearly missed.
Jim is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; Sister-in-law, Mary Harenchar. Jim was preceded in death by his Parents, Andrew and Mary; Siblings: Bernard Harenchar, John Harenchar, Andrew Harenchar, and Leona Anspaugh. |
