WHEELER, Nancy Ann - Of Mt. Morris, age 74, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Saturday, August 9, 2014
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend B. Michael Hefner officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Children’s Ministries at The Wesleyan Campground, Vassar, MI.
Visitation 2-8pm Friday and 10am, Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Nancy was born in Flint on May 3, 1940, the daughter of the late Paul and Shirley (Simpkin) Robinette. On August 17, 1973, she married Lester Wheeler in Davison and he preceded her in death in November of 2000. Together “Uncle Les and Aunt Nancy” traveled the country as Children’s Evangelists in Puppet Ministries. She retired from Kearsley School District serving Fiedler Elementary for over 30 years.
Surviving are
sister, Linda (Doug) Figgins and brother, Ron (Christine) Robinette of Rogersville, TN;
nephews, David, Scott (Amanda), Dan Figgins;
sons, Lee (Linda) and Curtis (Marlene) Wheeler;
grandchildren, Melanie (Charles) Marshall, Tracy (Dave) Urso, Brandi (Sam) Burgan;
many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
and cousin Sally Stanley.
