RAJALA, Nancy Lou - Of Flint, age 89, died Sunday, October 12, 2014.
Per Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Flint Institute of Arts or a charity of one’s choice.
Nancy was born in Flint on December 21, 1924, the daughter of the late Cecil and Margaret (McFaddin) Hardy.
On February 23, 1946 she married Eino Rajala and he preceded her in death on February 24, 2013. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Junior League of Flint, Past President of the YWCA of Flint, a docent, volunteer and patron of the FIA for more than 40 years.
Surviving are twin daughters, Margaret (John) Blaisdell and Patricia (Joseph) Higgins;
grandchildren, Sarah (Montgomery)Smith
Christopher (Katherine) Waxweiler;
6 great-grandchildren Carter, Marin and Talbot Smith, Sloan and Weston and Brady Waxweiler;
brother, Robert J. Hardy.
She was preceded in death by son, Rodney.
