Age 59, of Fenton, died August 31, 2017. Services will be held 12PM Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd, Fenton. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Salvation Army. Ronald was born March 22, 1958 in Flint, the son of Richard and Norma (Kleinow) Winters. He married Victoria Russell in Linden on May 18, 1991. He was employed with General Motors for 40 years. He was a proud member of the UAW and was an E.A.P. representative. Ronald and his father engineered many "DIY" projects. Ronald was an avid member of The Recovery Community, mentoring many people over the years. He served on the Genesee County Planning Commission, was a member of the 100 Club, Linden Masonic Lodge and was founder of The Fenton Jubil'-Eve, New Years Eve celebration. Ronald was a tireless supporter of the Democratic Party. He enjoyed snow skiing, scuba diving and being on the water, as well as entertaining friends and family on Silver Lake. Surviving are wife, Vicky; mother, Norma; brothers, Rick (Dondi) Winters, Russ (Cindy) Winters; many nieces and nephews by blood and by love.
