Kellerman, Eugene "Bruce" age 77, son of the late Robert Vought Kellerman and Minnie Agnes Stevens, went home to be with his Lord on December 6, 2013. Cremation has taken place per Bruce's request. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date at Springport Cemetery in Greenbush, MI. Bruce was born in Flint, MI on march 15, 1936 where he lived most of his life. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1958, where he received a Letter of Commendation for converting Engineering supplies from Standard Stock numbers to a Federal Cog System which became Fleet Procedures. He retired from General Motors after 35 years of service, and had a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He fell in love with the study of history at a young age, including the history of the city of Flint, the state of Michigan, the U.S. and world history. Bruce also did extensive research of his family origins. He would tell you his entire family history at the drop of a hat. He belonged to many historical societies throughout his life. Bruce was a "True Blue Wolverine" including many years as a sideline photographer at football games. Bruce was a seasonal ticket for 44 years missing only five games during that span. He loved all things outdoors from sunrises to sunsets and everything in between, including biking, hiking, gardening and was an avid photographer. He loved to talk and tell stories about his outdoor exploits across the entire country. Bruce leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughters, Tammy (Tom) Peek of Otisville, Deborah Elston of Flint, brother David (Linda) Kellerman of Florida, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, 2 great great nephews and many more family members and friends who knew he had a kind heart and soul. He was preceded in death by his son Todd N. Kellerman, and brothers Robert L. and Richard A. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Contributions may also go to Home and Hospice Advantage to whom the family extends its heartfelt thanks for their care and compassion. Condolences to the family may be made to P.O.
