ROBERTS, William J. - of Clio, age 73, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 1PM until 8PM and Friday from 10AM until the time of services at 1PM. Contributions may be made to the family.
William was born November 26, 1940 in Flint to the late Jesse and Eleanor (Gonyea) Roberts. He graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1952. William was the former owner of the Clio Road Superette. He also worked at Brady’s Tractor Sales and Atherton Road Sales in Burton for 10 years. William was an avid bowler and loved all sports, especially baseball and the Detroit Tigers.
Surviving are: good friends, Jamie Carlson and Keri Hebekeuser, whom he claims as daughters; granddaughter, Chloe Carlson; loving furry companion, Kitty; brother-in-law, Steve Cummer; and good friend, Robin Hebekeuser.
