Lillian Sieh, age 90 of North Branch died Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Genesys Health Park. Lillian was born on March 21, 1922 in Fern, Wisconsin to John and Agnes Chylek. Lillian grew up in Fern, Wisconsin and graduated from Florence High School. She received her teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point.
In February 1950 she married Waldon Louis Sieh. Lillian was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She volunteered for their religion classes by keeping the records, and the North Branch Thrift Shop with the scheduling for volunteers. Lillian enjoyed watching the news and following the newspapers, and traveling to different National Parks.
She is survived by her daughters; April (husband James Spencley) Sieh of Linden, and Connie (husband David Putz) Sieh of Plainfield, Illinois, sons; Robert (Betty) Sieh of Fostoria and Larry Sieh of Sterling Heights, sister Elizabeth Kron and brother August Chylek, 4 grandchildren; Ryan, Kevin, Erik and Andy and 1 great-grandchild, Tyler.
She is preceded in death by her husband Waldon in 1983 and daughter Meribeth in 1968.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers; Rita Villareal, Alexandra Spencley, and Lisa Slabchuck.
The family will be present for visitation on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home and Saturday, from 10 to 11am at SS. Peter and Paul Church with the funeral mass to follow at 11:00am. Fr. Richard Treml will officiate. The burial will be in St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Marlette, Michigan.
