FULCHER, David Howard – of Davison, age 74, passed away August 18, 2013 at Henry Ford Hospital Detroit. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, August 22, 2013 at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 711 S. Saginaw St., Flint; Rev. Barbara Cavin and Rev. Sue Colavincenzo co-officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. On Thursday, there will be visitation at the church from 10 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Davison Community Fund.
David was born in Davison, MI on July 8, 1939, son of the late George Lewis and Geraldine Viola (Rice) Fulcher. He married Susan Western on May 12, 1962 in East Tawas, MI and she preceded him in death September 14, 2005. David graduated from Davison High School Class of 1957 and was a Davison High School Hall of Fame Inductee. He graduated from University of Michigan in 1961. David was a lifetime member of the University of Michigan Victors Club. He was a member of the Davison Rotary Club, Charter Member of Davison Country Club, Past President of Davison Chamber of Commerce and a committed member of the Davison Community. He also served on the Board of Directors at Genesys Health System for 21 years and made the original motion to build the hospital. David owned and operated the family business, The Fulcher Companies, Inc. from 1967-2002 and had a successful 40 year career as a Mass Mutual Agent.
David is survived by his children, Elizabeth Fulcher, Stacy (David) McIntosh, Daniel (Jeane) Fulcher; grandchildren, Sophie and George Sternbergh, Graham and Abbey Fulcher; sister-in-law, Liana (Richard) Honig; brother-in-law, William (Tara) Western; 10 nieces and nephews; cousin, Dick Bennett.
