On September 12th, our beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, Glenda Glorine Washington Love, lost her battle to cancer at Hurley Medical Hospital.
Glenda, who was tenderly known as “Lady” for her ladylike demeanor; attended Flint Schools and dedicated her life to Jehovah God in 1974 and loyally served Him in English and in American Sign Language her entire life. After graduating from Flint Central high school in 1980, Glenda was employed with Flint Teachers Credit Union(now Sovita Credit Union)until October of 2023. She was married in 1983 to Thomas Love and out of that union welcomed her beloved Alexis Arianna-Tylynn was born . Glenda was unselfish in her love for others, and she showed that love by always putting her family and friends first, taking them flowers, calling them, or sending texts and cards. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, going to Sam’s Club and spending time with her family, especially her 2 grandchildren, “Three and Ammee”, as she affectionately called them! Spending time with them outdoors teaching them about gardening and Jehovah, as well as whatever life lesson she could fit in brought them all joy! She also enjoyed teaching others in English and American Sign Language about Jehovah, all the way until the end of her life. She leaves to cherish in her memory: Mother Margaret V Washington of Flint MI, daughter, Alexis Love of Flint, MI, 2 brothers: Robert(Ernestine)Sykes of Chesterfield VA, Marlon(Trina)Washington of Warren, MI, 3 sisters: Brenda (Jerry)Scott-Roy of Petersburg,VA, Robyn(Jerry)Foreman of Indianapolis, IN, Tyra(Clarence)Scott of Flint, MI, 2 grandchildren: Stevan Malone III and Amethyst Lady Malone of Flint, MI, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends along with special friends, William and Lillian Ferguson, and Special Niece McKailynn Rogers.
