SMITH, Ted O. – of Flint, age 62, died Monday, August 3, 2015 at McLaren of Flint. Private services and cremation have been held. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Old Newsboys of Flint.
Ted was born February 7, 1953 in Russellville, AL to the late Thomas and Eula Mae (Smith) Smith. He resided in Flint all of his life. He married Patricia Decker on January 8, 2009. Mr. Smith retired from Buick in 2003 with 30 years seniority and was a member of the UAW local #599. He enjoyed swimming, golfing, going to rummage sales and painting.
Surviving are: wife, Patti; children: Sarah Hooks-Ludens of Clio, Bridget Forton of Traverse City, Jennifer (Tom) Cruthers of Mt. Morris, Kristine (Tony) Maygar of Davison, Jamie (Amanda) Decker of Swartz Creek;16 grandchildren; brother, Charles (Darlene) Bruton of Montrose; sister-in-law, Barbara Smith of AL; nieces and nephews: Charles Bruton Jr., Chad Bruton, Corby Bruton all of Montrose, Jennifer Dormire of Kalamazoo, Bryan Smith and Heath Smith of AL; many other relatives and dear friends.
