Age 59, of Portage, MI, passed away at Centrica Rose Arbor Place on February 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 3, 1965, the son of the late James T. Tyler and Beverly (Rusch) Morford. Tom was a loving father, son, brother and friend who leaves behind wonderful memories to be cherished. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing and football. He was a loyal Michigan State fan and loved all-things Sparty! Tom loved food and family gatherings and was most happy when the two could be combined. He had a great smile and terrific sense of humor. His greatest joy in life came from spending time with his only daughter Jordan, his “Princess”. Tom loved his family and friends; had a special bond with “his boy” Dylan, and he will be missed by all. Tom is survived by his daughter Jordan (Bradley Webber) Tyler; three siblings, Valerie (James) Tyler-Clark, Michael (Denise) Pomerville, Debra (David) Pomerville; special nephews, Tyler and Dylan Clark; several other nieces and nephews; bonus siblings and family; and many friends. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held from 12:00p.m -1:00p.m on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home,, 917 South Burdick Street, Kalamazoo, MI with a memorial service commencing at 1:00pm. A celebration of life will be held this summer on June 21st, 2025 at his sister Valerie’s home.
