FRASIER, Helen D. - Of Grand Blanc, age 84, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2016.
Visitation 2-8pm Friday and 10am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Father Donald F. Davidson officiating.
Helen was born on September 20, 1931 in Flint, Michigan and resided her entire life in the Flint, Linden, and Grand Blanc area. She married her husband, Don on October 29, 1949 in Davison, Michigan.
Helen was a very devoted wife, mother, sibling and friend to many. Helen was an extremely bright and talented woman. She played the organ for St Christopher’s Episcopal Church that was located in Burton, MI and later in life, took up playing the drums in a band in Hartland, MI. Helen also had an amazing talent for creating beautiful stained glass art. Helen had a seemingly unquenchable thirst for knowledge, reading, and learning.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Donald, parents Russell and Helen Sauter, sister Lucille Palmer (Sauter), brothers William Sauter and Russell Sauter Jr.
Helen is survived by her children Robert D. (Janie) Frasier, Donald J. (Susan) Frasier, Catherine E. Town, Thomas A. (Lora) Frasier, six Grand Children, eleven Great Grand Children, brother James Sauter, sister Elizabeth (Lib) Gunning, many Nieces and Nephews, and special friend Sheri Hodson.
The family would appreciate in lieu of flowers; donations be made directly to Genesys Health Foundation – memo Reverence Hospice.
