HOOKER, Edna “Ardena” - Of Grand Blanc, age 76, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Visitation 11am-2pm and 5-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Old Newsboys or Wreaths Across America.
Ardena was born in Flint on December 26, 1935. She married Glen Hooker on April 19, 1952 in Flint and he preceded her in death in 2011. She was an associate member of Blue Stars Mothers and supported Shriners Hospital for Children and the Old Newsboys.
Surviving are children, Benny and wife Ruth of Flint, Glenda and husband Bob Bell of Swartz Creek, Lynne and husband Gus Conway of Fenton, Scott and wife Lois of Swartz Creek;
10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren;
brothers, Loren and wife Mary Alice Karch of Howell, Jerry and wife Pat Karch of Ypsilanti;
sister, Pauline Mahoney of S.C.;
many nieces and nephews.
Special thank you to Dawn, Mona and granddaughter, Nikki and to Genesys Hospice, Lonnie, Sheena, Dave and Maria for all their special care.
