SMITH, Dorothy Ann (Bouchard) – of Davison, MI, age 89, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Interment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 1-8 PM Monday, October 9, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Monday, October 9, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Genesee County, in Dorothy’s memory.
Dorothy was born in Flint, MI on April 27, 1928, daughter of the late Adelore and Caroline (Wyzina) Bouchard. She married Leonard Smith on June 18, 1949 and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1990. Dorothy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and a past State President of United Commercial Travelers Auxiliary.
Dorothy is survived by 5 children, Thomas (Peggy) Smith, Janis (Reggie) Newman, Gail McNicol, Paula (Brian) Hitchcock and Don (Mary) Smith; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, James (Charlotte) Bouchard and Richard (Ellen) Bouchard; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Christina and Kennedy.
