MOORE-WOODS, Norine – of Clio, age 93, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday, June 28, 2019 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be held will 11AM, Tuesday, June 2, 2019 at the Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 E. Mount Morris Road, Otisville. Dr. Steve Anthony officiating. Burial to follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Monday from 1PM until 7PM and at the church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richfield Church of Nazarene.
Norine was born March 24, 1926 in Otisville, Michigan to the late Lloyd and Mildred (Powers) Warner. She graduated from Otisville High School in 1942 and attended Charles Stewart Mott Community College. Norine obtained a certificate in interior design in 1962. She married Harvey Fenner in 1943. He preceded her in death in 1948. Norine then married Duane Moore on December 9, 1949. Duane preceded her in death on May 5, 2002. She married Howard L. Woods on August 4, 2007 at the First Church of Nazarene in Flint. Norine worked at the Post Office in Otisville for a short time. She then spent 3 years working for Don Joseph Interior. Mostly, Norine spent her life as a loving and supportive pastors’ wife. She has been a devoted member of the Richfield Church of Nazarene since 1946. Norine was a member of the Clio Historical Society and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed collecting antiques, dolls and venturing out to different rummage sales. Most of all, Norine loved church activities and spending time with her beloved family.
Surviving are: Husband, Howard L. Woods; Daughters: Judith (Gary) Cook, Jane (Larry) Hammond and Duana (Ed) Moore-Shreve; Grandchildren: Stephanie Schmidt, Jerry (Tara) Fenner II, Rod (Monica) Cooper, Scott (Melissa) Fenner, Jason Hammond, Joel (Ariel) Hammond, Darcy Fenner, Daniel Strasser and Luke Strasser; Many great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; Brother, Richard (Gail) Warner, Sisters: Ruth Lawler and Bernice Garnsey; Daughter-in-law, Bonnie Fenner and many nices and nephews.
