Rossell, Arlene L., age 96, of Flushing, died peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2020, at her home at Hyde Park Assisted Living. A visitation will be held 12 noon until 2 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Rossell Funeral Home, followed by a private graveside service at Flushing Cemetery.
Arlene was born August 4, 1923, in Pontiac, Michigan, the third and youngest daughter of Maurice and Rosa Lee (Hangstafer) Baldwin. She married Ronald E. Rossell, in Newport News, Virginia on December 27, 1941. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2002. Together with her husband, they owned and operated the Rossell Funeral Home in Flushing for many years, before retiring to North Ft. Myers, Florida. Arlene enjoyed China painting, fishing, and was an excellent Bridge player. She received Jesus as her Savior early in life and over the span of her life, she studied the Bible and was faithful in worship. Arlene has resided at Hyde Park Assisted Living for the past 11 years and loved her Hyde Park family. She would want to say thank you to the team at Hyde Park for their excellent and tender care, with a special thanks to her nurse, Tiffany of Heart to Heart Hospice and their team who added so greatly to the quality of her life.
Arlene is survived by son, Ralph and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Lisa and Nicholas and their spouses; and three great-grandchildren; also, son, Ray and wife, Elaine; and several nieces and nephews. She was the adopted “mom” of Pamela Thiel and Chuck and Sharon Cook.
She now rest in God’s peace awaiting the general resurrection to new life. |
