JOHNSON, James M. “Jim” – Of St. Simon Island, GA, formerly of Flint, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Viewing 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Those desiring may make contributions to Gentiva Hospice.
Jim was born in Flint, Michigan on October 3, 1936.
Jim was married to Karen Dumas on October 16, 1954, they were married 58 years.
Jim was founder and co-owner of Johnson Wood Mechanical for 12 years. Jim also worked in Gilbert, Arizona at Viking Sales until 2013.
Surviving are spouse, Karen Johnson;
children, Mark Johnson of Florida,
James and Sheri Johnson of Swartz Creek;
brother, John “Jack” Bea Johnson of St. Simon Island, GA;
grandchildren, Greg and Rebecca Johnson, Mark Allen Johnson, Steve Johnson, Brad and Rachel Johnson and Paul Johnson;
great-grandchildren, Matthew, Phillip, Emily and Audrey;
also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Mary Johnson and
son, Greg Johnson.
