Mosey, Neil D. Sr., of Flushing, age 85, died Monday, November 6, 2017, at Hyde Park Memory Care. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Rossell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Genesee County Humane Society.
Neil was born in Flint, Michigan on August 5, 1932, the son of Floyd and Lucille (Raymond) Mosey. He married Gertrude Crossley in Flushing on August 4, 1951. She preceded him in death on October 24, 2013. Neil started working for Frank McNally as a young man and worked his way up, retiring after over 47 years as a car salesman for McNally Buick-Chevrolet. He was an avid John Deere enthusiast and enjoyed spending time in his yard. Neil often enjoyed using his sales abilities to assist his wife and her business, Trudy’s Antiques, and was also known to help at his son’s business. He was a member of Flushing Episcopal Church for many years. Neil loved his cocker spaniel dogs.
He is survived by his son, Neil Dean and wife Caron Mosey; grandsons, Sean and wife Kimberly Mosey, Loren and wife Margaret Mosey; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Sawyer, Samantha Jane, Fischer Hayes, Carson Neil. Neil was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ann Louise.
