SPOONER, Fred D. - Of Grand Blanc, age 78, died Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11am Friday, July 10, 2020 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 7296 Gale Road, Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Father David Howell officiating.
Visitation 10am Friday at the church until the time of the Mass.
Fred was born in Flint, Michigan on September 23, 1941 the son of Herschel and Falice (Thompson) Spooner. On August 25, 1962 he married Sharlene Mezaros in Flint. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Fred worked hard every day with the gifts God gave him, up until the day he died. He loved people, animals and was always there for those at need. Fred believed in God, family and friends. All were a part of his family.
Surviving are wife, Sharlene;
4 children, Jodi and husband Robert LaBrec of TN, Susan and husband Lindsey Hamilton of Clarkston, John and wife Christine Spooner of Whitehall, Gina and husband Jason Siffert of Grand Rapids;
7 grandchildren, Sydney, Hailey, Kylie, Scarlett, Sara Bella, Sophia and Lilly;
brother, Bill and wife Mary Jo Spooner of SC; daughters, Stephanie and Juliette;
brothers and sisters-in-law, Norbert Pearson of Grand Blanc, Rose and husband David Skinner of NC and their children;
nieces and nephews, Shawn and husband Peter Gleason of Grand Blanc, Spike Pearson of Flint, Aimee and husband Mark Kempa of GA, Paula Owens of TX, Carol Page Spooner of Flint and Katie Spooner of Flint;
grand-nieces and nephews, Taylor, Jacob, Libbie, Charlie and Anthony.
