ROSE, Doris Marie - of Hope, formerly of Montrose, age 86, died Friday, October 20, 2017 at McLaren Regional Medical Center of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Tim Hobson officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 1PM until 6PM and Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Doris was born November 20, 1930 in Millington, Michigan to the late Arthur G. and Maude Mae (Neu) Hobson. She married Richard R. Rose on July 3, 1951. He preceded her in death September 10, 2006. Doris enjoyed playing Bunco, bowling and gardening. She was also an avid baker. Above all, Doris loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are: Daughters: Cathy (Mitch) Huber of Greenville, SC, Lila (Garland) Sneed of Flint, Lynn (David) Morse of Montrose, Christine Rose of Montrose, and Elaine (Cubby) Andres of Montrose; 11 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; Sisters: Marge, Donna, and MaryAnn; Special friend, Earl Walker. Doris was also preceded in death by her Son, Donald Arthur Rose; Grandsons: Richard Thomas Leach, and Cory Michael Winter; 2 brothers: Carl, and Dale, and her sister, Viola.
