OLIN, Muriel A. – Of Swartz Creek, age 95, died Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Abbey Park Assisted Living, with her daughters by her side.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Gary R. Glanville officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to The Medical Team Hospice.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Muriel was born on February 27, 1921, the daughter of Charles and Bertice Hutchings and had been a lifelong resident of the Flint area.
She married William B. Olin on October 11, 1940 in Flint and he preceded her in death on February 28, 2001.
She was a member of The United Methodist Church of Swartz Creek and had been a member of Mary Martha Circle.
Mrs. Olin retired from General Motors Institute in 1982 after 28 years of service.
Surviving her are two daughters, Julie and husband David Edwards and Linda Besachuk;
three grandchildren, Susan and Steve Edwards and Meagan Besachuk;
five great-grandchildren, Allyson, Hannah, Tyler, Josh and Tiffany;
special sister, Onalee Hoffman;
several nieces and nephews.
