Hastedt, Emily A. – of Clio, age 80, died Saturday, Novemeber 2, 2019, at McLaren Flint. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Mt. Sinai Lutheran Church in Montrose. Pastor Aaron Frey officiating. Burial to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Tuesday from 1-8 PM and at the church on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Sinai Lutheran Church.
Emily was born November 24, 1938, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Howard and Emily (Dewald) Wisenbaugh. She graduated from Beecher High School in 1957. Emily married Roy Hastedt on June 29, 1957. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Lutheran Church in Montrose and was active with the Ladie’s Aid Society. She was also a member of the Flushing Road Runners and Durand Locomotions Square Dancing Clubs. Emily also served as an officer for AAL. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting, travel, bird watching and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving are: Husband, Roy; 2 children: Myra Bunker of Clio and Duane (Bridget) Hastedt of Clio; 4 grandchildren: Sara (Bryan) Tumbleson, Rebecca Bunker, Jenna Bunker, and Anna (Christopher) Henry; 3 great-grandchildren: Adalyn Tumbleson, Greyson West, and Reese Tumbleson; Siblings: Rose Petschel, Curtis (Shirley) Wisenbaugh, and Barbaba (George) Besko; Several nieces and nephews.
