ROBBINS, Wanda L. – Of Grand Blanc, formerly of Crane, Missouri and Flint, age 96, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at her home.
Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Curtis Lilly officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Whaley Children's Center.
Visitation 1-3 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the funeral home.
Wanda was born in Crane, Missouri on July 8, 1922, the daughter of the late Rose Ash.
One June 3, 1938 she married Carmell Robbins.
She was a member of the Eagles Club and active in the UAW Retirees Local #326.
Mrs. Robbins was employed by GM-Ternstedt/Coldwater Road Assembly for 25 years.
She enjoyed breakfast at Grand Blanc Big Boys for many years.
She was a loving mother and Nona.
Surviving are children, Mary Sue (Kenneth) Franklin,
Jimmy Robbins and Linda (Wayne) Rumbel;
6 grandchildren, Carma (Greta Billings) Horner, David (Tammy) Horner, Trevor Robbins, Todd (Jovie) Robbins, Tori (Darren) Petterson, Robert (Margeaux) Rumbel;
9 great-grandchildren, Andrew (Casey) Horner, Lindsay Horner, Hunter Robbins, Raegan Robbins, Hailey Petterson, Jake Petterson, Bella Rumbel, Logan Rumbel and Paxton Robbins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmell Robbins; mother, Rose Wildman; step-father, Glenn Wildman; sister, Vaneta Peters and special friend of 30 years, H.C. (Cadillac) Slawter.
Special thanks to the staff at Abbey Park, the Medical Team Aides and Abbey Park and the Medical Team Hospice Group, especially Ashley, Jenna and Stacey.
