CRAWFORD, Gregory Lee –Of Boerne, Texas, formerly of Flint and Charleston, SC, age 66, passed on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Audie Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial visitation 12 p.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County, The American Heart or American Lung Association.
Gregory was born in Flint, Michigan on January 27, 1946, son of the late Jack and Reba (Casselman) Crawford.
He graduated from Flint Southwestern in 1964.
Gregory was formerly in management for many years at Kessels and Kroger. He owned Gregoryonline.
Gregory served his country in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division, earning a Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal while in Vietnam. He participated in the Million Veteran Research Program in an effort to improve veterans’ lives.
He was an avid reader and was involved in computer technology from its onset. He tended to develop his own technology as when he designed and built his TV remote before they were available to the public.
Surviving are sisters, Carol A. and husband Dale McCarty,
Janice L. and husband Don Richards,
Judith K. and husband William Pauley;
brother, James R. and wife Denise Crawford;
sister-in-law, Judith A. Crawford;
nieces and nephews, Michael Crawford, Elizabeth Crear, Timothy Crawford, Kintla Ernst, Stephen Kubik, Catherine Kromer and William Pauley;
many great-nieces and nephews;
cat, Max.
He was preceded in death by brother, Jack Michael Crawford.
