ROBBINS, Connie Virginia (Ball) - Of Flint, age 73, died Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Visitation 10am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Old News Boys of Flint or the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Connie was born in Wynne, Arkansas on November 8, 1950, the daughter of the late Ross and Trudie (Breckenridge) Ball. Connie graduated from Southwestern High School, Class of 1968. On January 16, 1971, she married Samuel Robbins. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, photography, day trips, cooking and spending time with her family.
Surviving are children, Amy Robbins and Andrew Robbins;
Grandchildren who were the light of her life, Justin and wife Rachel Karyakose and Trevor Wisenbaugh – she was known affectionately as Gramm;
Brother-in-law, George Porritt;
and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel and brother, Johnny.
Special thank you to her long-time friend Diane Harper, Hurley ICU, McLaren Select Specialty Hospital, Ascension Genesys Emergency, and Regency of Grand Blanc for all their care and support, especially Willie Smith at Regency, who Connie said “was very gentle with her and knew how to get her just right.”
