Grosch, Violet Louise (Draheim). Violet passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015. She had been a resident of Cranberry Park memory center for 1 1/2 years. Prior to that Violet had resided in the Flint and Flushing area most of her life. Violet was born on September 12, 1917 to Florence and Henry Draheim, she was the oldest of three children. Violet married her one and only true love Albert in 1941. They had two children Sandra and Phillip. Following Albert's early death in 1966 she started working for Mt. Morris Township, working her way to clerk until her retirement in 1988. Violet was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with family and friends, gardening, going to church and having Sunday dinners. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Cranberry Park for their love and support. Violet was proceeded in death by her husband Albert, her sister Hazel and daughter-in-law Judi. Violet is survived by her daughter Sandra (Glenn) McMurphy, son Phillip Grosch, 5 grandchildren (Brain, Todd, Chris, Steve and Sara) 8 great-children and 4 great-great-grandchildren. In accordance to Violet's wishes cremation has taken place. A service will take place on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 11 am at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 6380 Beecher Rd., Flint. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church. |
